Reslin® is a 100% biodegradable material consisting of two parts. One is the oil, and the other is the activator. The mixing ratio of these two components is 2:1.
How do I work?
1- Heat the two lidless jars in the oven at 60°C for 20 minutes.
2- Once they are ready to work, you can mix the two components and you have the option of using either mica or liquid pigments. If you don't use pigments, you will obtain a piece with a transparency and a "honey" color.
3- Pour the mixture into the mold and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
4- Place the molds with the mixture in the oven at 90°C for 20 minutes.
5- After 20 minutes at 90°C, increase the temperature to 120°C for another 20 minutes.
6- After removing the molds from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes or place them in cold water and then remove them from the mold.
In 1 hour, you can have your pieces ready in a sustainable, non-toxic way!
*The resulting pieces, unless you add loads, have flexibility, they are not rigid.
